As I prepare to publish my first book in the early part of 2018, entitled 'Be Patient, Be Present, Be joyful - A First Aid Kit for the Emotional Bumps and Bruises of Life', I thought it might be fun to document my thoughts along the way in a weekly podcast/audioblog.

Ryan Writes for Live Lead Play

I've recently been asked to contribute an article on Live Lead Play based on some of my experience as a coach working with musicians. If you have 5 or 6 extra minutes, I'd love for you to take a look and give me your thoughts. If you find it 'like' or share worthy, please feel free to show the post some love from within the Live Lead Play website itself. Thanks for your time in advance!

Biography Channel... True Story

As I mentioned in one of my first posts, I’m a fan of The Biography Channel. Interestingly enough, I find myself watching it most often when I’m getting dressed and ready to start my day.  What I love about Bio, is that it’s a constant reminder that everyone ends up somewhere different from where they began. Humans worry. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that a majority of us spend more time worrying about our past and our future then we do feeling excited about the present and the future.  We worry about our health. We worry about our finances. We worry about something that we might have said, and we worry about what we feel like we should have said.  During a recent discussion on this particular topic with one of my coaching clients I found myself developing what I now call ‘The Doc Brown Theory’.

Technically it can be that easy, but the truth is,there are millions of young artists being created every day. Some are going to be on a journey that takes them to the pinnacles of success and others will end up somewhere else.
